Twitter strikes again!

By now you may have heard about the story of James Karl Buck who was arrested in Egypt without any charges for photographing a demonstration. He managed to Twit one word “ARRESTED” to his followers and continued to send updates which set off a chain of events that led to his college hiring a lawyer on his behalf.

On May 12th the BBC News reported another story about Twitter and the earthquake in China that might just prove to those Twitter naysayers that the platform has a real use.

Edited 10:25 am – The Travelin’ Librarian just Twittered about yet another story involving Twitter and an almost arrest.
